Digital Media Forum 2014

The GMASCO PR and Digital team recently took part in the Digital Media Forum 2014 which was held at the Royal Mirage in Dubai.

The central theme of the two-day conference was ‘The Digital Experience: Challenges and Dynamics.’ Key topics discussed and presented at DMF 2014 included: how to integrate different digital media platforms for a successful marketing strategy, how to incorporate digital media for brand building, customer service, and campaign planning, how social media is transforming TV audience relationship, how social media can be a measurable venue to drive consumer growth, how to engage and reach the connected in the digital era and how the media industry revenue streams evolve in the face of increasing digital disruption.

The forum was attended by some of the biggest names in the industry including Ali M. Jaber, Dean, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication at American University of Dubai (AUD) - Group TV Director, Middle East Broadcasting Corporation, Hesham Tahssin, Regional Marketing Director, KFC Arabia - Americana Group - Middle East, North Africa & Eastern Europe, Parminder (Parry) Singh, Managing Director for Twitter SEA, India & MENA, Tariq El Haj Omar, Strategic Partner Manager, Google amongst others.

GMASCO’s team successfully deliver the inaugural Dubai Festival City Road Race...

DFC Road Race

The GMASCO team successfully delivered the inaugural Dubai Festival City Road Race aimed at engaging Al-Futtaim employees and associates, along with their family, friends, and the general public in a fun day of healthy team building.

The race that took place at Dubai Festival City on Friday 4th April 2014, was endorsed by the Dubai Sports Council and conducted under their special Dubai Pulse programme. The 10 kilometre ‘Road Race’ and 3 kilometre ‘Fun Run’ routes were strategically planned by Dubai Festival City’s Race Committee and Facilities Management team, who were additionally tasked with showcasing the city's assets in their planning process. The Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police both offered support for the necessary road closures to ensure the race was held in a safe and secure environment.

The Road Race will be held annually, set to become a signature event at Dubai Festival City and a permanent part of Dubai's social sports calendar.

MEPRA 2013 - Two projects by the GMASCO Public Relations team received nominations...

Two projects by the GMASCO Public Relations team received nominations at the Middle East Public Relations Association’s Awards 2013. The campaigns for PLUG INS and Lexus were both in the running for Most Effective PR Campaign within the Consumer Goods category.

The entry from PLUG INS, called ‘Your Opinion Counts’ was created to pioneer consumer research in the fast-evolving industry of consumer electronics. As a run up to GITEX, the campaign aimed to position PLUG INS as a Thought Leader among competitors.

The campaign from Lexus, called ‘Lexus Passion Pioneers’ was designed around the launch of the Lexus IS model. It specifically dealt with communicating the various brand attributes through innovative PR vehicles.
